A opinion on women
I had this Client give me a call yesterday and she started yelling at me for no reason. She accused me of not telling the builder to read my design...To cut a long story short..this freekishly loud lady pounding on me was quite intimidating..But I soon realised that she was just being insecure that her multi million dollar project will get bogged due to the incompetent builder and was just seeking a bit of help...Such commosion for a simple "can you help me??" would be a much better option...
I shared this with Rebecca. Rebecca said that all women feel insecure at times and require reassurance...Tis is very hard for me to understand, because my mom for example is too strong. She single handly brought up 2 wild boys. My mom has and is still a women who is far from being insecure...
There are so many stong amasing women....My aunt Ann, aunt Irene, Mother tresa..mothers in most cases...do these women feel insecure???
I have never thought about the slight insecurity women feel....I may be wrong..I dont know...
I dont feel insecure so i dont understand....

LIVING ON THE EDGE
Living on the edge is what we all dream of......We think of the late Sir. Ed who was the 1st to concure Mt.Everest (or) of Richard Branson in his mind boggling bussiness adventures (or) of Hudini and his illusion stunts...
Why do we look in awe of these people...Why do we look at them with such amazment. Even when they die their life seems frozen in time....Why do we do it???Is it sub consious or consious??? or is it because they are successful??( On the contrary each one of us is successful in their own respective way)...
The main area that makes us awe after these people is because they push the limits of their boudaries day in and day out.....
Lets examine Richard Branson for example. I must say I am a great fan of his and these are my own views...
Richard branson in his early business life was a scoundrell. He smuggled music illegaly aross the borders and took numerous short cuts. He was and is the pinnacle of how a young business man should NOT be!!! I belive his early life motto was "Get rich or die trying" and you bet he got rich - at wat cost?
With all this we still look in awe of Mr.Branson. Every young enterpruner wants to be like him...Why???? I belive it is because he LIVES ON THE EDGE....
Living on the edge for Mr. Branson was to get rich!!!Get rich at all cost. To do this he brought music to the masses...He gave us Culture Clubs - Karma Kameleon...He gave us comfort when the peoples princess passed away by giving us Candle in the Wind with Elton John...In short LIVING ON THE EDGE for Mr.Branson was accomplished by enhancing the lives of men and women...
So you may ask..Do you Chris live on the edge..I do think so...I jumped on a plane when I graduated from university and went to a new land...I had no place to stay but a kind family took me in and let me stay in their garden shed...Life was rough, but Living on the Edge is much better than being pampered at home...
I do agree I get afraid at times when I realise that I am all alone in this great land...Neigh me and God all alone in this great land.....It does get to me....Being afraid has made me stronger...
When I was treated diffrently due to the color of my skin, I felt hurt...But that hurt made me a better man to treat all men as equals...
Living on the Edge is very scarey...Mr.Branson lived in fear..But his ways to escape that fear has made him rich but he is still poor.....In contrary Christ Jesus lived on the edge...Martin Lurther King lived on the edge...
Great men who chose to Live on the edge but made different choices on how to live on the edge..
We all need to live on the edge if we want to leave a mark in this world. That is the only true measure of how much you have lived on the edge!!!!
Living on the edge requires oneself to step into the unknow...The unknown is a furnace where cowards become fuel and the brave come out strong as Iron!!!

GIDEONS MINISTRY
Trinitas, a wife of a Gideon member from East Africa had a crook confront her. Not knowing what to do, she decided to witness to the thug and then gave him a New Testament she was carrying. Trinitas did not see the man again. However, a month later she was confronted by another young man who demanded that she also give him the “drug” she had used on the other man to change his life. She gave this young man a Testament, too, with instructions to read it every day.
Hi, I'm Chris Sheeran. I would like to thank you for reading about the work of the Gideon minsitry. I hope this blog and the stories in it is of use to you.
In Hong Kong, one of the Gideons was trying to witness to an older man, but he was having trouble due to language barriers. That Gideon reached out his hand, stopped a passing college student, and asked if he would be willing to translate. The student said yes. This Gideon was then able to speak to the older man about Jesus. Surprisingly, about twenty minutes later, it wasn’t the older man who accepted Christ, but the younger man, the helpful college student who agreed to translate.
The Gideons ministry is a men's ministry, where Christian professional and business men along with their wives, share the good news of Christ Jesus by distributing and placing Bibles in schools, universities, hospital, nursing homes, motels, hotels, prison and in other walks of life.
The ministry was started in 1908 and has since been established in 184 countries. The Gideons distribute bibles in 84 different languages. In the last financial year, 70 million bibles were distributed world wide. Out of the 182 countries, only 12 countries (including Australia) were able to provide 94% of the financial support for the distribution of those 70 million scriptures. This is just another example of how great and generous our God is.
Suresh a student from India wrote “At first I did not believe in Jesus Christ. But, after reading the Testament given to me by the Gideons, my whole concept about God changed. Now I do believe in Christ Jesus and I enjoy much happiness while reading the New Testament”.
A young Muslim mother in Beirut was in prison because she had been dealing drugs, and her three-year-old daughter was living in a nursery home. Huda, an Auxiliary member involved in prison ministry, would take the daughter to visit her mother in prison every two weeks. During those visits, Huda would also share the gospel. The Muslim lady opened her heart more and more to Jesus, and then accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. She left prison last year and is now an active member of a church.
A Nepalese Gideon and his friends were walking down the street witnessing about Jesus when they realized that they were being followed by plainclothes policemen. The friends sat down for lunch, and one of the policemen approached them, asking them what they were doing. The friends invited the policeman to sit with them and one of the Christians boldly witnessed to the policeman. This brave believer went even further and gave the policeman his business card plus an invitation to contact him if he needed to learn more about Jesus. Two weeks later, the policeman knocked on the door, not to make an arrest but to ask to be led to Christ. Today, that inquiring policeman is a Gideon.
So you may ask what could I do to support this ministry
Firstly, we request your support in prayer for the ministry.
Secondly, the ministry needs new members so that more bibles could be distributed. If you’re a Christian business or professional man you may consider to join this ministry as a Gideon. If your married, your better half could share your Gideon ministry as an Axillary member.
Finally, the ministry needs funds. A Bible, which is placed in a hotel or motel room today, costs $6, and pocket testaments costs the Gideons $1.60 for placement. In the last financial year there was a demand for an additional 30 million scriptures.
All funds raised by the Gideons is used only for the purchase and distribution of scriptures. We are able to do this, by covering all other costs by the annual membership fees of our members.
I would like to share an interesting story and close.
One day, a doctor in Chaco, Paraguay, was visited by a medical supplies salesman. The doctor was a Gideon and shared a testimony about a man who read the Word of God and came to Christ with the salesman. He then gave his visitor a New Testament and a challenge, “If you read this book every day, it will change your life.” The salesman accepted the challenge, and before long, his wife asked him how he had changed so much for the better. He responded, “I have been reading this little New Testament every day, and I have received the Lord Jesus as my Savior.” The wife responded, “Since you have changed so much, we should read it together as a family.” They began reading one hour every Friday evening, and then the time soon increased to three hours. It was not long before the wife came to Christ. The youngest son was next and then the oldest son. The Lord used this one testament to win the entire family to Him.
Friend, thank you for reading this blog.
A interesting and challenging opportunity has been presented in front of you today to make available the word of God that many might be saved.
Hebrews 4:12 says “the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any two edged sword, cutting trough to where the soul and spirit meet”
Thank you.
